Is it safe to drive a car with broken engine mounts?
My daughter has a 1989 Camry engine mounts are broken. I said this only causes noise and vibration but the car is safe to drive. Is this true? Camy My daughter has a 1989 with a broken engine mounts. Is it safe to drive, and I said yes would not just be noise and vibration. I do not have thousands to fix this car, how much would it cost? Update: we took the car to a mechanic and found the engine mounts and said that no repairs are needed, yet not know what is causing the vibration but said the car is safe.
If it's a wheel front of the unit of the vibrations can be used from CV Joints. Your mechanic should have known that. I take it to a place that has a lot of work front and alignments.
