The glow plug is a wonderful piece of engineering, the closest anyone has ever come to a true perpetual motion machine, that cars radio control motor function without anything, other than fuel, no spark plugs or electrical ignition, these babies run in the blaze.

Selection correct spark plug wire is not that hard just have to understand how they work. Truth be told that the perpetual motion machine are not exactly, they still need a little kick with a 1.5V battery to start the light after that will shine while the engine is running.

Turbo or Standard

A turbo plug will only work on a turbo engine, they do not have tiny 1:10 Scale fans blowing air into the engine as if to size Complete peer turbo plug is tapered at the end to create a tight fit to the engine head, this in turn increases power slightly, you can not use a plug turbo on a standard engine, they require standard plugs.

The Glow Plug Temperature Rating

You need find the right glow plug for your engine temperature, a warmer complement works best when the engine is a bit short of heat, While you should use a cooler glow supplement if you have a larger motor that produces lots of shine heat.Hotter plugs also make it easier to remove the engine, while the cold glow plugs will give you a little better performance during running.

There is no right or wrong configuration, everything must be taken into account, since the air temperature at the altitude above sea level, all of which affect how the candle to make.

Quality over quantity.

When buying a radio controlled glow plug it always, like so many things to file, worth getting a little spark plug more expensive, they usually have a more uniform and the heat and often last longer than cheaper runs several outlets, which provides for the additional cost.

Reading your glow plug

Using a few simple methods it is easy to tell how close you are to a tune perfect by inspection of the spark plug, if there is a surplus of oil in the head after being implemented for the rich and the need to lean the mixture, if the glow plug is gray with a little oil, then place in its composition, just as if there is little or no oil and filament Glow Plug is bent or thinning where it connects to the base of the candle, they are too poor and the need to Richen your mix.

Some general points about glow plugs

• Never touch the filament, this is very fragile and thus can break the filament and bust a cap.
• Protect your engine just buying good glow plugs from decent hobby shops
• Keep your glow plugs in a cool and dry, they do not like the humidity
• Always select the right candle
• Follow the recommended break in procedures for your engine.
• Breaking in an engine are the chances that the plug is used in ruins.
• Keep your engine in tune
• Never tighten a glow plug, too, need not be as tight as you think
• Beware nitro detonation, it means that your using the wrong plug or your tune is off.
• Use the glow starter right
• Ask other riders for help, the community of RC is one impressive and someone always willing to help
