Why use this radio for surface ships rc illegal?
Why is it illegal to use 72-MHz radios for surface ships and why is it illegal to use 75-MHz radios for airplanes?
It is because the bands are limited to only surface vessels and aircraft. If you are not a boat or plane, then it can not transmit on the frequencies. If you were landing a plane, would you like a child playing with his RC plane being interfering with the communication frequency being used to talk to the tower? You may have difficulty finding an open door so if that is the case:. Edit I just read your question. I wonder why that can not be used to 72MHz and 75MHz RC ship RC planes:. The answer is almost always the same can not be used any of the frequencies for anything related to RC. Can not be transmitted in the bands because they are reserved. 72MHz-73MHz is reserved for cell phones 75Mhz Navigation and reserves for the cell.
