What is the "Jeep mystique" anyway?

Well, say that no other vehicle in the history of car making has captured the imagination of many. Since the birth of necessity, and the litmus test at the beginning and during the participation of the United States of America in the Second World War, the Jeep became much more than was ever intended.

The first designer was originally commissioned by U.S. military to build a small utility vehicle recognition, but that little 4×4 platform discordant column ended with many hats during the war. The first jeeps were generally used to transport, carry 50-caliber machine gun mount, towing artillery pieces, serve as field ambulances and more.

Today day the Jeep has undergone many changes and have been a number of different models that have departed from the principles of military style. However, the heritage of the original "Universal" style jeeps World War II lived in:

• Willys-Overland CJ (Civilian Jeep)
• Kaiser (Willys), CJ,
• AMC and Chrysler Wrangler YJ, TJ, and
• JK current models.

On the way there have been:

• 2 1 / 2 ton trucks Jeep military
• Civilian Jeep trucks,
• Jeepsters car-like,
• Jeep forward control trucks,
• vans Postal distribution and Jeeps, and
• SUV styles, such as Wagoneer, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Commander, Patriot and Compass.

Why many of us admire this unusual piece of metal, plastic and rubber?

I can not speak for anyone else, but for me the symbol Jeep freedom on several fronts. First, is her first historical role in helping liberate the oppressed around the world and restore freedom and liberty … and secondly, Jeeps's functional ability to go places where other vehicles can not.

Therefore, the mystique of the Jeep can be summarized as a reminder of our freedoms and our responsibilities to fight to maintain freedom, if necessary. It's a love story for many Americans and people around the world that has been happening since 1940 until today.

But on a lighter note, most of us the mystique of the Jeep simply means that these platforms are … well, just fun to own and manage.
