Center Drive

how to install a blank hard drive as storage on a computer desktop XP Media Center Edition?

I have an old hard drive thats a window and I remove all files and operating systems and I use it as a hard disk storage for use with my Windows XP Media Center to save files, but not support, how can I do?

You should be able to simply mount the drive in the case and connect data and power cables to the HD of the MB. If you have two CD / DVD, you may need a 'master / slave' cable as some new systems have a single IDE interface cable. Note that primary and secondary IDE controllers on the MB can support up to two devices in a master / slave mode or 'Auto'. Set the HD as a slave of other units, XP will be able to see it. Then use XP Disk Management to format, partition, or whatever you want to do with it.
